Modlist: Steam Workshop::vanilla+

Common sense applies for all below rules and are at the staff’s discretion.

Make sure you own and name your grids
It is recommended to ensure your grid does not have the word ‘Grid’ in its name to prevent accidental removal.

Also ensure that is is powered and owned. It is also recommended to take a blueprint of your grid with CTRL+B

Do not strain the server with silly piston and rotor builds, giant welder walls et cetera
This is up to staff discretion but use common sense here.

No exploits or client side game modifications that give you an advantage
This is up to staff discretion but use common sense here.

Actually have a presence on the server, like a base/rover. Do not troll and grief by just flying around with your character and being a menace.

No hydromanning or tunneling around a base’s defences.
This includes unnecessary tunneling. Some factions rules may override the hydromanning rule

Building Stuffs

No clang drives
No gravity drives
Don’t use or edit other faction members’ grids without their consent unless it is directly tied to RP (such as the Empire retiring venators)

Rules of War and PVP

First of all, Vanilla+ is meant to be a fun server for all, use common sense, be respectful, if someone doesn’t want to participate, don’t force them into it.

Declaring war on a faction for RP purposes is always fun and encouraged!

No offline raiding/PVP
Hacking is considered PvP, and subject to the PvP rules. No offline hacking.

Do not engage in PVP when all players in the defending faction is offline. A third of the factions players must be online in the faction to continue.
This includes combat logging! Do not log out intentionally during a battle unless if after an hour at that point the battle should end.

Do not grief your own faction
This includes joining the faction, stealing their stuff or revealing their base locations then leaving. Some factions rules may override this rule

Small scale raids and skirmishes are OK.
A small scale raid is an attack by a maximum of two players on a faction (Offline PVP rules still apply) that does a minimal amount of damage to large ships or stations (~20 large ship or station blocks or less are damaged).
The destruction of small drones/small ships counts as a small scale raid. These raids tend to be short, and not prolonged, with the intension being light harassment or deterrence.

However large scale battles/attacks/wars must have consent by both Faction Leaders.
We get that war is fun, however some people wish to keep to themselves and the PVE side of the game, and we would hate for their experience to be ruined.

Minefields need to have a clear warning with an antenna and must be within 5km of such antenna

VSE Moderators and Staff will have the final say on these rules.
